Halloween Week Round Up - Part 1

Ok, I hope you are ready for some pictures! This is what happens when I forget to update the posts :) In an effort to keep things simple, I am going to break this up into multiple posts.

We kicked off the Halloween celebrations, the week prior, at Mimi and Grampi's house up in Iowa. Ellie and Olivia LOVE to visit their Mimi and Grampi and looked forward to it all week! One of the reasons the girls look forward to their visits so much, is because Mimi always has something very special (magical) planned! This particular visit, it was a wonderful Halloween book, Pinkalicious! In this story, Pinkalicious is going to visit Mr. Pink's Pumpkin Patch with her family. The entire time, Pinkalicious is looking for a PINK pumpkin, only to find that there was an abundance of orange ones! After reading the story, Mimi sent Ellie on a hunt for the great pink pumpkin! It was a riot and Ellie was one happy girl to actually find a pink pumpkin!

The rest of the evening was spent enjoying time together, baking chocolate muffins and trying on some fun vintage hats that Mimi gave the girls for their tea parties... we pretended to take one of those family portraits where nobody smiles from way back when, like it?? ;) It was one great weekend, thanks Mimi and Grampi!
