Ellie's 4th Birthday and family celebration

As mentioned previously, Ellie's birthday was kind 3-part celebration this year... it seemed the never ending birthday! However, although her big Ariel party celebration was over, we still wanted to make sure that her actual birthday was incredibly special!

Sometimes when you are little, it is the littlest things that make something memorable! We hung springy, sparkle stars from Ellie's bedroom door, so that she would see them first thing when she woke up. At 6:30am, she bolted into our room screaming... momma, dadda, there are sparkle stars on my door! Next, it was downstairs for a special birthday pancake breakfast. When we asked Ellie what kind of pancakes she wanted, her request was for "Frozen" pancakes made into shapes of Elsa, Anna and all of the village people!! Uhhhh... I think that maybe our previously decorated birthday parties and cakes have set the bar too high ;) Daddy quickly swooped in and whipped up some blue sprinkle, chocolate, snowflake pancakes using a cookie cutter... problem solved... way to go Dad!!

Ellie had school and was super excited to bring in cupcakes to share with all of her class :) When she returned home, we had a special birthday dinner and a small personal cake, which she of course devoured! Then, after dinner, Ellie received her birthday gift from Mom and Dad... an Ariel bike that blows bubbles! Her reaction was priceless!!

Later in the week, we met up with the whole family to celebrate (yet again, sheesh!) at Winsteads, one of Ellie's favorite places to eat. The girls had a blast with their cousins and instead of a traditional cake for her celebration, all the kids split a giant sky scraper! Happy Birthday (again) Ellie Bean!!!
