Madeline,
You decided to bless our lives in the wee hours of Wednesday, February 12 at 2:21am! As with your sisters, your labor was fast and (almost) effortless. You arrived 3 days early, breaking the previous trend set forth by both of your sisters, who arrived each 1 day early :) I began feeling labor contractions around 8:30pm and grandmamma headed over to our house at 10:00pm to be with the girls. By 10:30pm we were at the hospital and anxiously awaiting your arrival (and anxiously awaiting to find out what you would be, as we did not find out your sex this time around!)
Come 2:21am you arrived... pink, healthy and just plain perfect!! You were 7lb, 1oz and 20.5" long. You are the most perfect addition to our family and we love you with ALL of our hearts and soul!! The hours to follow were spent getting your first bath, eating (which you took to perfectly), sleeping and snuggling into the late morning hours, until your sisters would come running down the hall to meet you for the first time!
Your sisters have been anxiously awaiting your arrival for 9 long months (especially Ellie, who is actually old enough this time around to comprehend what it all means). To say that they were elated is an understatement!
You "brought" Ellie and Olivia each a giant chocolate cookie to say "hello" and they brought you your very own pink Chloe cat! Both Ellie and Olivia have adopted a stuffed animal cat and named them "Chloe," so they thought it only made sense that you follow suit :)
As the tired days and long nights ahead of us linger, we are so excited for all that life brings with you in it! We love you Maddie Jane!!! Welcome to our crazy family!
Excited big sisters running as fast as they can to meet their new baby sister! This image is burned into my memory forever :)
Pure joy and instant love!
And of course Olivia gave Madeline a "baby noggin' noogy" ;) her words!
Welcome Home!
I forgot how tiny and itty bitty they look in these car seats!
Shhhh!!! Ellie is such a big sister!
