I really cannot believe how quickly these 8 months have flown by! It feels like just yesterday that I was pregnant with Olivia and now here she is, 8 months, 2 new teeth later and almost crawling. Olivia is an absolute joy! She has a smile that just lights up the room and a laugh that is completely contagious. While she is completely easy going and fun-loving, she certainly lets it be known if she does not like something (like her sister's too strong "hugs" or if you take too long between bites while feeding her).
Here is what Olivia is doing lately...
• getting up into the tripod position and VERY close to taking off!
• she has figured out that if she bounces with excitement, that she can scoot forward across a smooth surface. It takes her awhile, but if I turn my head for a few minutes she will be a few feet away from where she was previously sitting.
• she just cut her first tooth (bottom left) 2 nights ago and then low and behold, the right bottom tooth cut thru last night!
• She likes to babble a lot. She says "dada," "baba," and we are working on "mama." She is getting much closer now after some steady practicing with mommy :)
• She loves to watch her sister, Ellie, and loves to laugh!
• When holding her, she loves to scoot her bottom, so that it is hanging off behind your arm (like sitting on a bench) and bounce up and down. She thinks that this is not only extremely fun, but hilarious.
• She is just now beginning to master the art of feeding herself. While a lot of cheerios may end up on the floor, there are a select few that make it into her mouth :) Puffs, which are larger, are much easier and definitely her preference!
• She eats anything and everything! There hasn't been anything yet that she does not like.
• Her beautiful eyelashes are the first thing that people notice! They are incredibly long and naturally curl up until the touch her eye brows... lucky girl!!!
| She is always such a smiley little ham bone! |
