Yesterday was 70 degrees outside... seriously... 70 degrees! We were lounging on our new porch swing and playing outside all day. We kept hearing about this snow storm coming, but all the way until we went to bed, it was STILL balmy outside. I had NO idea what we were in store for!! This morning we awoke to a blowing blizzard... SNOW DAY!!!
I have to admit, I was a little (ok a lot) disappointed. I am so ready for spring and all of the easter decorations just don't seem to be the same with a blanket of snow outside. However, for the kiddos, this was heaven :)
We spent the day watching Reading Rainbow, playing mermaids, making easter egg cards, baking banana bread and then (of course) playing outside!

This snow fort was built to suit with furniture, a slide and it's own entrance! There was a simple rule... if you can't fit under the chain... You are not allowed in!!

Baking chocolate chip, banana muffins, having hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows ready after the kids come in from the cold, arts and crafts, LOTS of snuggling and basically avoiding the 13.5" of snow that lays outside the door (ha!) ;)
Looks like the perfect snow-day! Wish we were there to enjoy it with you (esp those muffins - yum!) xo
