We signed Ellie up for a week long "Camp Tink" this summer, in which she had 5 days of dance practice, followed by an evening performance. Ellie was super excited to take part in this camp! Not only was her best friend, Molly, in the camp, but what little girl wouldn't enjoy dressing up and dancing around as her favorite fairy (Periwinkle or Rosetta by the way... depending on the day).
Aside from one
<major> meltdown on the second day regarding the fact that they were asked to wear "crazy hair", Ellie was over the moon about performing! I think you can tell from the pictures that she was utterly excited and full of joy!
After the performance, I asked her if she was nervous and to my surprise her answer was "no" :) Personally, I think that she was too focused on the ring pop that was awaiting her at the end of the recital to care about having stage fright!
Olivia and Madeline got a kick out of seeing their sister on stage as well. In fact, when "Fly to your Heart" came on, Olivia yelled, "Momma!! Fly who you are! Fly who you are!!" It is a little known fact around our home that this is her favorite song ;) We are so proud of all our girls! Ellie for a wonderful and brave performance and Olivia and Madeline for sitting so patiently and cheering their sister on!
