This year was a really special Christmas for two reasons.... First, it was Olivia's first and second, it was the first year that Ellie really understood the tradition of Santa Claus and all that comes with it. The holidays were filled with family, lots of generosity, and a little bit of chaos!
| It snowed just days before Christmas! I love that Olivia's 1st ever Christmas was a "white one" :) |
| Look who's excited for Christmas to come! |
| Snow Angels |
| and a "mini-snowman"... it wasn't the greatest packing snow! |
| Ellie catching the snowflakes on her tongue |
Sledding at Granddad's house!
| Ellie quickly decided that she wanted to go sledding all by herself and went all the way down the hill yelling, "race car!" |
| Olivia is either really unamused by this snow outfit, or she is giving me her best "blue steel" |
| We let Ellie and Olivia open one gift (their Xmas PJ's and slippers) on Christmas Eve... |
| ... and Ellie was just a little bit excited about her new Dora slippers! |
| Grandmother Mathews, Olivia, Ellie and I |
| The Christmas Ham ;) |
| Olivia and Cousin Hayden |
| Only Ellie would be this excited (at age 2) to receive clothes for Christmas! |
| Grandmother Mathews all dressed up... |
| ... ok, no more pictures! |
| Olivia's "anywhere chair" from Granddad and Grandma Deb... and her new book :) |
| Daddy and Ellie reading "The Night Before Christmas" by the fire on Christmas Eve |
| Christmas Morning |
| Look at all the presents! |
| He Came!!!! |
| Olivia, Santa came!!! Are you so excited??!! |
| Olivia is liking this whole Christmas thing! |
| Olivia's new cuddly bear... thanks Grandmamma! She can't believe that it is as big as she is (and apparently neither can her dad) ;) |
